@ktrabbit“Never picked okra…what’s the issue with it?”.The plant makes many people itch.Not that it would be much of a problem, but “picking” is usually done by cutting the stem of the pod with a sharp knife. Meg could handle it.

I very much like okra battered and fried up very crispy, even slightly burnt. Cuts down the “slimy factor”. I won’t touch boiled okra

Amazing that folks thought the remark that Gene made yesterday would end this sweet relationship…that’s the way too many people act today…one slight and we’re through with each other. Nice to see that it doesn’t happen in this comic.
