Mary Lou: Sleepyhead! There's one more cooler in the car!
Gene: You think this Saturday lunch thing will work?
Mary Lou: Well, we sold out almost every seating last week!
Gene: I'll set the table!
Mary Lou: You mean, 'Table 1'.
I picked up some Pop Tarts earlier, for just such an emergency. I’m not a big fan of Pop Tarts, but I’m a big fan of quick & easy. And they should go well with my coffee…. which I’ve almost finished. …I need to go use the toaster…
@comicsssfan said“I think there is a market for small, simple restaurants that are not franchise places”.I noticed a new one today near Brewton, Alabama. It used to be the structure for a water wheel powered mill. No idea when the owners decided to turn it into a restaraunt. A franchise would have advertised its existence. Might help more than it hurts..Meanwhile, I’ll see how good it is eventually — if it is still in business.
