Quarter after 7:00? If you’re not going to work, that’s crazy! Leave her alone…..

Operating on two different circadian clocks. Seems as if Arlo operates on the business world clock and Janis on home world clock. This will be a big problem when he retires form work.

You might want to rethink this, Arlo. If my hubby did that to me it would be boiled hay for a week, at least.

I’ve never been a morning person, and struggled with getting up early when I was working. Now that I’m retired, I can be the night owl I was born to be.

you never see a book or newspaper in this strip. arlo suffers from a lack of imagination.

It’s just that making the most of his day involves Janis.

It’s a day early for the time-change jokes.I k now what I’ll be doing tomorrow morning at six. Our Aussie shepherd has a perfect circadian clock. He’s awakened me at 7:00 MDT every morning wanting his kibble. Tomorrow morning it will be 6:00 MST, and he’ll be waking me up for his breakfast. It’ll take a month to get him adjusted.

I was up around that time this morning, I’m in school and have papers to finish. My other half was up also because like Arlo, he likes to make the most of his day.

My father is 89. He told me earlier this year he had gotten up at 5 am for many years milking cows, working etc and there was no need for it anymore and he was going to start sleeping in. He said, “I don’t get up until 5:30 now!”

My mother waits until almost 6 to get up.

Life without Janis is meaningless to Arlo.

    Bring her in.

What is better is to end it since it messes up everyone’s sleep cycle which is far from healthy. Some people actually die from heart attacks because of it.
