I recently retired and my wife has provided me with an education on how to run the washer, dryer, dishwasher, etc… Couldn’t skip out of her classes.

Watch out Arlo… unless you just checking the weather, and standing I might add, you are cruising for bruising! Do NOT get comfortable!

You see, according to Frank Barone, outside the house, in a suitcase, it’s Man’s Work, but once it’s home, it becomes all Womany.

Their suitcases must be special, seeing how Janis unpacked them so soon after arriving home. I hope they don’t talk to our suitcases, they’re ignored until the next day.

I’ve been doing my own laundry since teen years, 50+ years actually. My wife does her own laundry also. Not a problem at all.

I’ve taken care of myself for decades. Got married seven years ago and have been a house husband since. My wife works full time and I’m retired, so why not? She does most of the yard work, except pruning.

Just what the heck has the last month of Arlo & Janis been all about? First, the suggestions and ruminations about moving. Then the emergency call for help in the restaurant. Then the “Oh, sorry, false alarm because business has actually fallen off.” arc. Then the “swamp” trip. Now back home and status quo restored. I repeat. What the heck is going on, Greg?

Sorry JJ but you missed it that Ludwig would be the first thing they would encounter. When we go away for more than one night our cat is on us like ugly on a gorilla till we feed, scratch and apologize for being gone; in that order.

Arlo would like to do all the domestic chores but it would undermine Janis’ sense of self-worth, so he nobly lets her do many of them.

We each do our own laundry. He’s a trail runner and I got tired of his mud on my shirts and foxtail seeds in my bras.

That suitcase was awfully heavy!!! Oh Yea, and I had to carry them up some steps. Us guys really have it hard. We’d love it if we only had to do the easy jobs like washing, cooking, cleaning and tolerating the male ego.

I am out $250 due to non-delivery of items promised by Jimmy Johnson on his Kickstarter campaign. I’ve tried for months to get any sort of response, any sort of help finding out what happened to these items…zero response.

If they were shipped, help me track them down. If they weren’t, then do so or refund my money, please.

Have always both worked. He quit his job 10 years ago – my suggestion due to major burnout. We were to go our own way during the days. This lasted about a year. I still go out to work one day a month. I belong to a club and to meetings one day a month. Otherwise we are together all the time – we both work from home from home (making nothing) from desks facing each other in a small bedroom. I do all the housework. I pay the bills and juggle the money to get the bills paid.

When we travel he overpacks – a lot. I carry most of the luggage. When we used to travel in car and stay at hotel he would pick up one bag and carry it in. I would put my laptop on one shoulder across me, my suitcase on the other, my backpack over them, and push one or two of his bags.

We now travel in a tiny RV. We don’t use suitcases – we pack in laundry bags. Unpack in the RV, throw the laundry in one of the two laundry bags. When we get home the leftover clean clothes (mostly his) go on the second bag.

I’d rather stay home than go anywhere with luggage that color.

We just got home from vacation. My wife is retired, and I go back to work tomorrow morning. My wife will wait until tomorrow to tackle the mountain of laundry.
