Maybe Luddy doesn’t like his meat well done (burnt to a cinder according to some).

Waaait… You ordered a portion of prime rib, it was delicious, and yet you left leftovers?

    Some ‘choice carnivore’ you are!

Even in the unlikely event I had any “leftover” roast beef…

it would be tomorrow’s sandwich or dinner.

    It wouldn’t be cat food…

well, maybe a bite, and a little more if I saw that he really liked it….

But to put it all down for the cat and throw it away cos he didn’t eat it….

wow, what planet do they live on?

    Unless, as x_Tech said, it’s overcooked…..

if it’s grey, instead of red or even pink, I might go halfsies with the cat.

I might have to ask him first what he’s done for me lately.

I love that look they give you if you put down something unusual that they don’t like, as if to say, “What are you doing, human? Have you lost your mind? Where’s my regular food?”

Our dog waits to welcome us when we get back from dinner with a “what did you bring me?” excitement. She gobbles down any type of beef we bring back.

It’s a blessing you can’t read cat thoughts.

I think Luddy was hoping for Grilled Filet Mignon with Blue Cheese Butter leftovers.

There’s a reason it’s called a “Doggy Bag” and not a “Kitty Bag.”

Dogs are slobs. Arlo should know that cats are discerning.

I had a cat try to climb my leg to get a slice of bologna, I really don’t think that a cat would turn up it’s nose at prime rib.

I would never feed pets human food. not good for them. And I wouldn’t have thrown away good ribs instead of eating them.

My boyfriend’s cat loved canned green beans. I read about another cat that loved grapefruit and would gnaw at the peel until it could get to the flesh inside until one time it ended up wearing the grapefruit like a helmet (Chuck Jones’ bio). I had a couple “know-everything” ladies laugh at me for offering veggies to the “feral” cats that lived on my college campus. But if you’ve owned a cat and don’t mindlessly buy into what they are supposed to like, cats are really varied and sometimes unexpected in what they’ll eat.
