True story: One day I drove to the Store. The sky was overcast and threatening, and I found myself coveting the empty handicapped parking spaces close to the door. I asked myself whether feeling this way meant I was being politically incorrect. Myself answered and said: “Nah, it just means you’re a lazyass.” I’ve never been temped that way since. True story.

Ayup! In our area we had a number of years when the power would go out for hours or even days at a time. So, 5 years ago I installed a standby, whole house generator which starts on its own and supplies all needed power to the house. $5K later the power has gone out once for about an hour. My neighbors oughta’ be paying me for the damned thing. ;-)

If you wish to avoid rain, take an umbrella. The weather gods will be appeased.

20% chance, it’ll pour! 80% chance and it won’t rain a drop!!! Carrying an umbrella is insurance that it won’t rain.
