Actually, since I retired I’m the one to sleep in and my wife gets up early. I’m going to start getting up earlier because I go to school starting in September.
Oh yes, I am the early bird here. I LOVE getting up at 4:30am or 5am and having coffee while the whole world is still sleeping…and reading GO COMICS with my coffee. And then going for a long walk or bike ride as the sun comes up. I feel like I have a jump on the day and it’s such a peaceful time. Then again, I go to bed at 9pm. This lifestyle isn’t for everyone. Now that I am retired, no one laughs at me, but try this when you are a college student and people are just going to BED when you are waking up. Makes for very few friends. LOL
Right now, Jimmy has captured my wife and me. Last week, though, I submitted my intent to retire in a year or less. I will then see if I can finally sleep, once the pressure is off.
My wife is NOT a morning person. She often says she will get up early on the weekends to do stuff, but unless it’s an activity we paid for, she sleeps in.

Yeah, I may have uttered that lie on occasion myself. But really, once you’ve seen one sunrise, you’ve seen ’em all.

As the year goes on Janis will be able to sleep in later and later and still be up for the sunrise.

I’m up early enough to see the sunrise, but I live in the city so by the time I can actually SEE the sun, we’ve been up for hours.
