I guess that’s the new version of, “Send the dog out, and see if he comes in wet.”

I have a rubber roof. I never know if it is raining unless I am in my office and it hits the window a/c!

I like to look outside after the “Dark Sky” app sends a notification “Rain will begin in 3 minutes”, just to see if it’s right. It usually is.

Off-topic:This morning, I began telecommuting, and I want to use three modern cliches in one sentence. Here we go.“I am now socially distancing as I shelter in place and hunker down.”What did I forget to include?

Ever hear of a weather rock? You look at it outside. If it is dry, sunny out. Wet, it is raining. Moved or tipped over, very windy out.

We always know if it is raining, trees dripping on the skylights is fairly noisy.

If it’s not on radar, then it’s not real rain.

She’s showing quite a bit of energy here. She could have just asked Alexa what’s the weather.

Texas A&M Aggie weather station: hang a rope outside the window. If it’s moving, it’s windy; if it’s wet, it’s raining.

aw come on. i can’t believe that they are that lazy to get up and look out the window. the other morning we were experiencing light snow flurries and the weather person was asking viewers to let her know where they were because it wasn’t showing up on radar. sometimes looking out the window is the best way to know what the weather is without relying on technology.

So used to know and watch the weather all the time here in MN..at Yellowstone in May after days of 80s it snowed. Asked at registration if they knew how long it was expected to last. They had no technology or too lazy to look it up and said, When it’s done snowing it’s done.

Did Janis need Google Weather to tell her it is raining? A look out the window would suffice.

Isn’t about time for Janis to do the semi annual wardrobe/closet shift? Not that is warm enough for that in the Midwest.

All I have to do is look up. My computer faces one of my bay windows in the living room with a great view of the world outside. The only time I check the weather is when I get up in the morning and ask Alexa so I can figure out what to wear to walk the dog.

I guess I’m a bit old fashioned, I still use the Window app. But that’s mostly because the one on my phone lies. Example: Yesterday it predicted rain, it was sunny and clear. Today it predicted sunny, it’s raining. I still check it for long term prognosticating.

The CBS news studio here had someone with COVID 19 in it and so they have not been able to go back into the studio in over a week. Desk reporters are working from home, for a while at the YES (I presume the NY Yankees) studio as it was not being used, and the weather staff are reporting out in the street as they have (for awhile now) a mobile weather station and just now the reporter was standing in the rain with the back door of the mobile station (a vehicle) open to show the screen there – and felt the need to TELL us that it is raining.

So nice to see what everyone’s house looks like – saw Biden’s basement last night – must be a finished basement as it looked like a regular room – a den – not a basement. CBS has actors/actresses from its various shows on spots talking about everyone doing their part (presume this on country wide, but not sure) and also there is an exercise competition in some TV spots also – and one gets to see their houses then also – some rooms do not look like one imagines it might.
