The right words at the right time.
Words of care and concern.
Words not to use: “What now?”
That’s the trick, isn’t it? Knowing what to say and when.
Ah, she forgave him. He finally said the right thing.
The hard part is when she answers, “Nothing”.
At least he knows where to be.
‘If you don’t know…………………’
It’s like the “Nail in the forehead” video. Sympathy vs solution.
Sometimes, nothing is the best thing to say…
She’s easier than me.
The never ending navigation through the minefield of female emotions. Why do most husbands die before their wives? Because they want to!
I have learned over the many, many years, when my bride wants to talk, most times all she wants to do is talk. She doesn’t want me to fix it, or even comment on it, she just wants to get it out of her system. Then I hug her and get her chocolate.
Now we know why she married him.
Of course, he usually says, “Ya wanna?”
Good thing he didn’t say “where’s dinner?”
She is thinking about how long it has been since she saw Gene.
What’s going on right now will get to anyone occasionally. So grateful for my sweetie. I’m trying to contact my single friends often.
There is immeasurable comfort in being known well!
The World can all use a hug now
Might be time for an ‘I wub oo’.
JJ this hit me in the feels. Good one
