You own a dog, you feed a cat….

(Warning: The following might be deliberate trolling. Maybe it’s nothing but an attempt at slight humor with a patina of truth.)

Hmm. So, Ludwig doesn’t understand inflation.

Apparently, D.C. doesn’t fully grasp it, either.

Or they just don’t really care.

Rachel Ray makes a dog treat that my dog loves. He doesn’t get them often, but when he does, I say “Here….have a dollar!”

Jimmy knows cats well. He even drew Ludwig’s ears turned back as he scarf his food.

I always wondered: do cats this to be aware of things happening in their back when they have food and some scavenger might take it off him? Is it because the sound of himself eating is too loud or disgusting? Or is he a messy eater like our cat and he doesn’t want to have bits falling down the cup of his ears?

The food particles sprinkled around the bowl on the floor are 100% on point.

My finicky two could care less about cost just so long as they’re fed on time and regularly.

Wait, what? Prices are going up? Why was I not notified?

$1 for a 4 oz can of the fancy stuff. You can buy ground beef and chicken cheaper than that!

And the cat doesn’t care about the price, it will equally snub any priced food it doesn’t approve of.

In my fiction cats protect us from the Olde Ones (Lovecraft) who try to penetrate our dimension from time-to-time to sow madness and self-destruction. (They feed off the radiations from our brains when we succumb to it.) What your cat is looking at and you can’t see it is one of their tentacles poking through the dimensional plenum. The Old Ones do not like cat scratch fever—-it is deadly to them.

Or maybe he does and he realizes that the price goes up sometimes.
