Don’t trust anyone named Amaryllis Belladonna, even if she’s naked. Especially if she’s naked.

He’s just hoping life takes a clue, and imitates nature.

Here the herald of spring is the snowdrop, followed by crocuses, daffodils and tulips. Irises and lilies bloom in summer here.

You can’t fault the guy for hoping for an early bloomer.

One of these Springs, Janis should answer: “Late Summer. But the Naked Gentlemen bloom in Mid June”.

It’s not like he could look naked ladies up online.

I swear, Jimmy Johnson is spying on my parents. How else would he be getting his material? :D

no irises yet, daffodils, forsythia and grape hyacinth but no irises.

I’ll be Mr. Literal today. “Naked ladies” is a term that has never made sense to me. It strikes me as an oxymoron. “Naked strumpet” seems more appropriate.

In my neck of the woods crocus’ and daffodils (and a few other flowers) bloom long before irises

The ‘naked ladies’ don’t show their blossoms around here until August.

Thats because its Spring. I wish I knew how o make the naked ladies come back each year. I dont know how get get here, nor how to keep them coming back. The flower that is.

Daffies and crocus are up. The plum trees are considering it.

In my 70+ years of life, I’d never heard of Naked Ladies when referring to blooming flowers.

I can barely tell a tulip from a rose anyway.

The question (or innuendo) went right over her head…probably just like every year.

Bare Naked Ladies are in the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, bare naked lady at Juno is in court.

My husband scattered crocus throughout the front lawn and they came up and bloomed a couple weeks ago and then we had to ice storms…

I have irises in my flower plot. I can’t wait for them to come up.

I just learned there is a flower called “naked lady”. It sends up leaves in the spring and after those die back it sends up a stalk of pink lilies in August. Beats me dancing naked in the garden to celebrate spring when it’s 22 degrees!

my thing every spring was to ask my ex “If April showers bring May flowers, what do Mayflowers bring?” …Pilgrims of course.

A couple of glasses of wine will sometimes bring them out sooner.

Here in NH we’ve had some brave crocuses in the sunny, sheltered spots, but that’s it so far. Then last week’s nor’easter buried them in snow!

I’m with him. I’m into seeing blooming naked ladies any day of the year actually……

My huge bay laurel (bay leaf) got attacked by two cold snaps. I have to cut it back. It will return stronger than ever though.
