Mr. Johnson sometimes waxes poetic, but l don’t remember Arlo doing much reading, much less of the hair raising sort.

Maybe Arlo is reading H.P. Lovecraft? That would make a lot of people’s hair stand on end.

Have Arlo & Janis retired? I haven’t seen Arlo at work in years (and I haven’t his friend and wanna-be at-work wife). And, Janis hasn’t mentioned a job in just as long. In fact, what happened to Janis’ neighborhood friend Robin?

What has happened to Gene?

I don’t drink either the coffee or the alcohol. Husband might have a beer if somewhere if it is offered but not otherwise and never has coffee.

He quit his job in his mid 50s as he was getting terribly burned out and I was afraid he would not be around by his 60s. I work extremely part time, he works extremely part time and we make and sell handcrafted items of varying types over time.

And the only time I see the sun rise is shortly before I go to sleep.

This is a charming strip. But, I think my daily newspaper ran something different.
