It’s good to be a task on the “To Do” list.

She Tasks Me. She Tasks Me. And I Shall Have Her! (after we finish folding)

This one is sweet! By the way, the star or angel is missing on the tree top.

Arlo’s anticipation is half the pleasure of his next task.

The clothes in the dryer can wait to be folded.

Doesn’t quite have her priorities in the right order. The clothes can always be folded and reheated if necessary later. But when the mood is lost, not so a husband. Opportunity lost…..

I sort/fold clothes in bed while he is getting ready for bed.

Over the decades he has learned much of housekeeping – he doesn’t do it much, but he has learned. He has always been the better cook, though I do the basic cooking – he will do some fancier cooking sometimes.

But I could never get him interested in learning about using the washer and the dryer. Then he took up weaving. From mid December to mid January I have a living room for holiday decorating. From mid January to mid December he has “a loom room” for his weaving. (“Friday night midnight movie substitute on TV” and “Saturday night date night movie substitute on TV” have also been held in the living room since he bought one of those god awful – smallish – BIG screen TVs early last year – all year.) When he finishes weaving a piece it has to washed to change into fabric from just yarns woven together. So now he knows how to use the washer and dryer and how to spread out laundry items to dry flat on a drying rack.
