They are taking more time getting ready to leave than I spent on my entire trip to Ireland …two weeks.

Clothes to travel too and fro. Buy the rest after arrival. Become native.

Arlo’s workplace is an office. Therefore, she’s telling him to pack a suit.

this visit and the move for that matter are starting to look like a trip to the dentist for Arlo

I hope they don’t expect Erin to live full time in their house for 2 weeks. That is a huge inconvenience for her. And 2 weeks is a very long time to use a pet sitter for the first time. I would do 1 or 2 nights with a new person, just to see how everything goes.

They could do everything they need to do in 5 days instead of 2 weeks. They will get tired of living out of a suitcase in someone else’s home for such a long time.

Bring the same things you would bring for a one-week trip and do laundry.

Why are so many writing 2 weeks? Reread what Arlo said Which means it will be longer than 2 weeks.

Arlo is slowly but surely being dragged in a direction he’s going to regret.

Both parents were teachers, so one “vacation” lasted six weeks during the summer. West on I-40, several state and national parks, Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Disneyland, Space Needle. On the diagonal back home the 12-year-old me wanted to go to Yellowstone since it was only 200-miles out of the way. After five weeks in the cab of the truck, parents’ radar was locked on “Home!” Fifty years later, I finally made it to Yellowstone!

Work clothes? What is the job? Suit & tie? overalls? I thought he was retired.
