The eerie sound of cars driving slowly in the snow. Mostly so they don’t get caught by the cops for not having chains on… as the make their way to somewhere that they can!
Never for me: I’d be in the bathroom all night if I heard running water. I use a fan as both a sound device and to keep the air flowing to avoid having my allergies act up. As a kid, I did enjoy the sound of rain on the metal roof of the trailer we lived in, would enjoy it today if not for the trials of being old.

…as long as it is not torrential. Lately, I have had some problems with poor drainage!

Yes, it’s waking up to the sound of the rain, realizing that you don’t have to get out of bed and go back to sleep.

That’s why I always play the rain sound on my alarm clock throughout the night.

The Cascades would sort of agree with Aunty. She’d probably be old enough to remember them and that song.

it’s very soothing to hear

Better? Yes – having someone under the covers with you sharing the rain sound.

Waking up to the sounds of songbirds singing instead of the neighbors barking dogs.

Nope. Except maybe the sounds of waves gently hitting the beach.

Yes, listening to the sound of the train horns in the distance while I’m listening to the rain on the roof. Heaven!

Ocean waves are awesome to fall asleep to! But being from Seattle, I do enjoy a good rain storm.

I agree…I even have a sound machine with rain, for when it’s not raining.

My husband snoring lightly. The nightmare would be him not being there anymore to snore. Ask any widow.
