i have my family asking me this and I’m single – and got sick of it already so now i just say (nothing) even if I’m hungry

I don’t have anybody to ask anymore. Doesn’t matter. I’m not really hungry much anymore, either.

As a type 2 diabetic, the right food is crucial. My family has it locked down.

I don’t know, what do you want to eat?

Nearly every day, my husband who has dementia asks me if I want something special for lunch. He offers to go to town to get something. I have to remind him he gets lost and he doesn’t believe me.

having followed auntie for a while now, i can totally understand that she’d come up with something this shallow…

Auntie, that is not necessarily true. Marriage…….Now Marriage is usually 2 people asking each other what they want to eat until one of them dies. But in Marriage, that holds true about so many other things besides what you want to eat.

Relationships on the other hand are so much easier and cheaper to get out of before anyone has to die.

That’s a lot of eating…

Doesn’t say much for your relationships.

Lost my wife right before Christmas two years ago. This past July 4th would have been 50 years. She had been looking forward for several years to driving her 1964 Ford Galaxie in the local 4th of July parade, all decorated with a big sign on each side that said “Married 50 years ago today”. Best laid plans and all that.

I know of a “I don’t care” restaurant. Which makes it easy when someone asks “Where do you want to eat?”

At my mom’s last Thanksgiving Day get together I tried to get her to eat. She ate a couple of bites is all. She passed away that Dec. Didn’t know she had colon cancer.

This is simply too morbid and sad to be funny.
