I am an atheist who seems to have a guardian angel. I have several times made an unexpected decision to change my plans and have learned to go with it, even if it just means taking a different route to where I am going. I have missed several situations where I would have likely been killed. For example, I liked going shopping with my mom when I was little. I was too young to be left home alone anyway. One day I refused to go, and for no reason that I know of. I just wouldn’t go. My mom, very confused, left me with a neighbor, and came home with a trashed car. The police had told her it was a good thing she had been alone in the car (pre-airbags and seatbelts) because anyone sitting in the front passenger seat would have died for sure. Back then, kids were allowed to sit in the front seat and it was considered normal and safe. My mom was not injured herself. A car broadsided her car, right in the front passenger door. That is the first time that I can remember.
