I'm telling you, being the classroom volunteer in Zoe's room gave me a new appreciation for how hard teachers work! Oh? It was amazing! There was story time, crafts, painting, playtime, song time,... Every moment was carefully planned out, every activity had a purpose. What an enriching experience! Wow! Sounds great! Hey Zoe! Tell me what you did in school today. Nothin'.
Growing up, I would (almost) always give one-word responses to “how was school?” when my parents asked. Fast forward to my young adulthood, my younger cousins do the same thing when I ask them how school is going. I now realize how annoying it is.
