Don’t give up Zoe. It doesn’t happen right away. I never ice skated but i did learn to roller skate. Busted my butt several times before i finally got the hang of it.

Considering my one experience on ice skates, Zoe’s right.

Considering she has NO gloves, NO helmet, NO knee or wrist pads…..how can this be any fun if you are falling all the time? The Learn To Skate Coach must suck. We don’t allow beginners to go out there unprepared. She also may do better with private lessons. It’s hard in a big group of newbies to watch everyone at every moment.

With practice, Zoe you might make it!

Ice skating was never of any interest to me, though it is graceful to watch by those who know what they are doing. Nowadays, at my age, I’d wind up needing a hip replacement if I tried to learn.

Keep at it Zoe, if it were easy everyone would be doing it.

Just press on Zoe. Once you develop certain skills they’re transferable in various ways to other activities. Then I guarantee you’ll be having all kinds of fun!

Remember when you were young and when you fell, you bounced? I don’t bounce anymore.

It’s like learning to ride a bike. You fall down a lot, but with practice you learn to stay upright.

It is possible that Zoe isn’t enamored with skating, and Wanda is just skating around the issue.

I feel Zoe’s pain. I hated, hated, hated every time I was made to go ice skating. I never could balance on the ice wearing skates…I used to sneak off into the woods and walk around on solid ground under snow in the skates. And it was all the cold of winter on top of that.
