Having to get up before the sun comes up. That’s a hard one Darryl. But you’ll do it cause you love Wanda. And you want to keep peace in the house.

She’s going to owe him big time on Father’s Day. I’m sure he will be a gentleman about it and not even mention the three games he went to. They could each take a game; do a rock paper scissors to see who gets the double header.

Remember those days, trying to keep warm next to the football field.

A time machine? Mother’s Day in the United States is in May. The equivalent day in India is in April but that was yesterday, not tomorrow. Armenia’s day for Mother’s Day is 7 April 2023.

My birthday is the 14th. Every seven years, my birthday falls on Mothers Day, so I get a double day.

This year is my double day! :-D

One of the many reasons we’re glad our girls never went into sports. Watching concerts and plays are much more fun…and indoors.

All the early morning soccer games off.

Actually, the whole family needs to go and support Zoe and Hammie.

I remember growing up and there were rarely parents at our Little League and HS games. Now they feel that they have to go AND they cause most of the issues with the coaches. I know MANY coaches who quit because of the parents.

This is in the Comics, but for soccer parents, it’s just “Life”.

Most of you people are nuts! Organized sports are great for everyone! I agree that the cost is certainly an issue, but… come on! How many “Mass shooters” played sports with their friends? My guess is not many. Baseball, basketball soccer even football give kids a sense of belonging. My daughter was a cheerleader. It builds character. Get into drama or music. Too expensive? I’m telling you… KIDS NEED TO FEEL INCLUDED!

    She drives a hard bargain.

Just remember: no bars and much gain = bargain.

Don’t the MacPhersons have two vehicles so they can split parental spectator duties? (If not, how does Darryl get to work or Wanda perform “Mom jobs” during the day?)

How many of us had kids with competing game and practice times?

Back in the early 70’s my bud was the JV hockey coach. Ice time was at 5am followed by breakfast & then “do your homework/study time. The rink was then used until it shut down at 11pm by many different groups
