My mom went to grade school in a rural area in the 1930s. The country kids were bussed into a nearby town for school. Lunch trading was a big deal then, too. The “city kids” would often have sandwiches made on store-bought bread, while the country kids always had homemade bread on their sandwiches.
Human nature being what it always has been, the country kids always wanted the store-bought bread and the city kids always wanted the homemade. They couldn’t believe each other was trading such a yummy prize. But the trades happened all the time.

All that trading and end up with no lunch. Hammie did you learn your lesson. No of course not.

It’s a good thing the bell rang when it did- Hammie was not getting the better deal there.
Does anyone actually pack Twinkies in their kid’s lunch? I thought Wanda’s p.b. & honey sandwich yesterday was bad…

Will Hammie grow up to be a rich trader or a sucker for gimmicks like crypto?

Too much time spent dickering. Hey just like congress – nothing accomplished except in their case due to too much bickering.
