    Hard to see the drawing clearly, but, when magnified, that one doesn’t look particularly feminine. Evidently gender is a difficult read when one is rolled up tight.

    I never could understand why Johnny always used the virtually unpronounceable “eeoughh!” rather than the much more evocative and satisfyingly blood-curdling “eeeeewwww!”. He does this all the time. It took me literally years to figure out. Of course I was only 10 or 11 at the time and we had already changed over to “yeccchh!” as the disgust expletive of choice. We did still use “st st st!” for shaming…
