While he takes Carp out he gives the top of his head a noogie rub.

I can relate. When I was about 15 or 16 and playing Legion ball. It was a meaningless game and my coach thought, hoped, I could be a pitcher. Harry Doyle would have passed out by the time the coach took me out. I made Ricky Vaughn, Wild Thing, look like a control pitcher. “Just a bit outside” would have meant that I didn’t throw it out of the baseball park.

I once saw “The Mad Hungarian” walk the bases full, then strike out the side…

Reminds me of the famous 1959 game when the White Sox scored 11 runs in one inning . . . on one hit.
