This development has echoes of the odd relationship between Krazy Kat and Ignatz Mouse in the old George Herriman comic strip. I say odd because of the ambiguous gender of Krazy and the ambiguous marital status of Ignatz. Krazy was variously referred to as “he” and “she”. Ignatz was sometimes portrayed as having a wife and kids.
Despite all that, Krazy was clearly in love with Ignatz… much to Ignatz’s annoyance.

If you’re lucky, you might find that special someone, and the two of you can be lonely together.
