Shauna Square-Ear will be feared throughout the land.

And the last of our absent mystery kids returns.

This was originally posted as the top two-thirds of the last page of the case, but was reformatted to fit the page for the published version. We’ll get the bottom third along with a new row as tomorrow’s page. The next case, “The Case of the Forked Road”, will begin Thursday.

Shauna was also redrawn in the last panel to make her grin slyer.

Should have given that pin a really good run under the hot tap first.

I’m sure even Mildred wants to hug her and ask about the pus. One of the first times where Shauna’s maverick personality is hinted.

Oh, you know…the usual.

Just think what it would have been like if Shauna’s vacation destinations had been reversed, and she had gone to Mouseville with huge square ears. She would have been mistaken for one of the cast members.

Mouseville… is that a reference to The Green Mile?

She still has her gimlet eyes.
