The way the timeline was presented earlier this year in a flashback story, Baldo was pre-teen, or early teen when his mother was lost. In today’s strip, the timeline appears to be ignored for the joke-a-day delivery.
Still funny, and very typical for all boys. Kids find something of interest when they’re young, and carry it with them all their lives.
