Tia: I asked councilman reyes if he could get us a sound system for the senior center dance. Tia: He said he didn't know anybody. That's a laugh! Tia: To get on the council, he had to know someone!
Of course, in most communities with councilman (or women), it really boils down to who want to run—if anyone. No “knowing the right people” involved. Have lived in enough small places to know first-hand.
