In my many years of writing dialogues and speeches, I have accrued a number of grammatically suspect writing habits. I am conditioned to punctuate as I think, or speak. A period is the indication of the end of a thought or sentence. Period…Punto !
I’m not about to change my writing ways at this stage of my life, just because some twit on twitter has thrown the rules of grammar, and correct spelling, out the window !
I am one of those old fogeys who spells out all words in a text and uses grammar to the best of my ability. And all while doing it on an old fashioned flip phone (need to push the “7” four times to get an “S”). Needless to say, I am a SLOW texter. :o)
