I dropped a company truck off at the dealer for a recall repair, and there was a beautifully polished ‘62 Impala Hardtop in “Astro Blue” on dollies in a corner of the service line, where you couldn’t not see it when you pulled in. I told the service writer about this strip and story arc.

I always heard it as “Idle hands are the Devil’s playthings.” But I guess that doesn’t work for the punchline…
