I got into this problem around age 24 for Valentines Day. I don’t think I had ever had a girlfriend in mid-February before and V-Day to me just meant passing around cards in grade school. Since age 10 or so I had ignored the ‘holiday’. Not so my girlfriend; she got me 6 or 7 things from fun to sexy. I didn’t even have a card for her. Needless to say that was a cold, lonely night for me! Oh, I’ve never again forgotten a V-Day.
Everyone is dumping on Baldo for not getting her anything, but I think the GF is in the wrong too. While Baldo should admit he hasn’t gotten her anything (maybe add ‘yet), but she shouldn’t be demand anything from bim
I think it means more when someone gives you a gift cause they found something that made them think of you and not cause they are obligated to.
