My wife would buy it… And stack it with the other impulse buys she purchases and never gets around to eating. Got to agree with rayannina though, it sounds like it could be great.
Wait – aren’t you going to share the recipe? Actually, I found a whole page, including a recipe with_out_ cilantro: https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/110321/blueberry-salsa/
Allrecipes.com has cranberry salsa with green onions and jalopena peppers that sounds great! They also have mango and other fruit salsas that I found in a one minute search.
Not sure about blueberry salsa, although I like blueberries. Guess it depends on the recipe. My wife and I both enjoy a peach-mango salsa that we buy at our supermarket. And on one occasion we got a cranberry-apple variety from a local farm, but neither of us could really detect the presence of the cranberries or the apples.
As for Tia Carmen, I suspect her problem is that any such concoction is against her traditional view of what a salsa should be. Have an open mind, Tia!
The place where I work sells several fruity salsas. There’s a mango one, a peach one, I think maybe a cranberry one… definitely not a blueberry one, though.

There are just some things Man was not meant to tamper with. Salsa without a tomato base is one of them…..

Salsa without tomato base might be edible.

I’ve had salsas made with things like mangoes, pineapple, or oranges, so blueberry salsa doesn’t seem far-fetched.

Maybe it’ll pair with the NYT’s peas-based guacamole.
