Gracie has aged well… Or is that Baldo’s grand-daughter?

That’s okay Baldo. I’m putting an ‘88 Volvo wagon on jack stands in my yard this week, but I can’t wait too long to get it restored as I’m already old!

If it’s still sitting on cinder blocks, no way in gorram hell should he be getting under it. A set of cheap jack stands from Walmart would be sooo much better…

The year of this car body keeps changing. It first appeared as a ‘59. It is referred to as a ’63. The side view is usually a ’62. Today it’s a ’64.

because of how old he looks in the last panel i would think it is 30-40 years later and he was finally able to complete the restoring of his vehicle. now he can just tinker away on it for the fun of it.

I have a shop for my project, a late fifties Pontiac. And, for me? It’s not the destination. It’s the journey. Some of us really enjoy the work it takes to bring this old Detroit iron slowly back to life with our own two hands (thanks Grandpa Z).

I know time travels differently in the Comics but I still wish for some progress on his classic car…

This was a lot easier and a lot more fun before they turned cars into computerized everything. They lost me in the late 60’s. Sure do miss it. Now if I’m lucky enough to find a car I could restore, it becomes a scavenger hunt to find the parts.

Looks like my experience with a TR-3 that I worked on for many years.

So Baldo aged about 70 years in the time that Gracie aged maybe 15 years?

When that much time had passed that will be worth some heavy money. Well worth the time.

Looks sort of like a ’64 today instead of a ’62.

And, it being Gracie, she probably invented and built that Hoverbike herself.

The car looks better in each succeeding panel, as Baldo envisions it, but back to its original dilapidated condition in the last panel as viewed by ancient Baldo and his great Grandniece, Gracie the fourth.
