And the trouble with those with limited life experience have no clue…

From the look of Baldo’s car I doubt that $10,000 would go very far towards a full restoration.

I know “comic strip” time runs differently from real world time…still, wouldn’t mind a little faster progress on Baldo’s car/wreck

And this is how the “rat rod” started. An older car/truck that runs and drives fine but does in no way look original or finished. LOOK, it’s still rusty. No, no, that’s patina now. BS, you got a hay field find running.

Ten kilobucks will buy a reasonably decent used car.

Empathy and lending money are not a good mix!

Most people who try to sell their self-restored cars are shocked that they can’t get near enough money to recoup all the time and money they spent in the restoration.

I don’t have any sympathy for Sergio. He caused the whole situation. He bought the junker with the promise that they’d restore it together, then washed his hands of it. Baldo should not be sinking what little money he makes at his job into a piece of junk. It’s sitting out in the weather, so any money Baldo puts in will be a waste.

10K is just a down payment on a restoration

Baldo needs a refresher course in realistic requests.

Serve some cheese and crackers with that wine.

I’m not saying how much I have in equity…but I wouldn’t lend out half that much unless it was mega-important (this wouldn’t be one of those cases).
