Something a bit like that actually happened once (that I know of) at my university. A student fell asleep in the (small) classroom, and the professor noticed. Without changing his tone of voice, the professor told the class that they were welcome to leave and enjoy the lovely spring day, IF they made sure not to wake the sleeper.
They did, and he awoke two hours later in an empty classroom.
