What country’s currency is that? Is that supposed to be Maggie Thatcher’s picture?

I believe that is called “money”, and yes, you can use it to buy anything from anywhere. Sometimes even in a foreign country.

She gave you foreign currency. It looks a bit like Canadian money.

That’s about what it’s coming to. We don’t know currency any longer! We don’t understand working hard for cash. Well maybe the corner dope pushers.

I seriously doubt they will do away wit those kind of gift certificates… to many really rich people prefer it…. and make too many under the table deals with it… and drug dealers won’t want their “deals” known about! and far too many of our fine representatives also prefer it for the same reasons!!

Maybe you should frame it as a rare type of currency.

Okay – does he use a credit or debit card when he buys something – he is a bit young to do so?

Husband and I have 5 niblings currently ranging in age from 12 to early 30s. I assure you that all 5 of them (and I pretty sure their friends also) know what cash is!

I also know when husband and I do craft show events or sell items we have made at reenactment events – even though we can accept “modern plastic” most of our sales are paid for in cash – by children and adults.
