¡Guau! I never really paid attention to how wow was spelled in Spanish since it’s the same pronunciation. In all my years, I’ve never had cause to write the word in Spanish.

A question I pondered is, if a dog in English barks and another in Spanish also barks, do they understand each other?

There’s a significant dichotomy between Gracie’s scholastic level and her play level. She reads and comprehends at a very advanced level but plays with preschool blocks? Those blocks are easy to draw, but c’mon now!

I go to an Hispanic market and didn’t know what Gallo was. It was chicken, but I thought chicken was Pollo. Turns out means rooster. It has a bunch of other meanings too, it seems.

In some countries, a bus is called a “guagua” (pronounced like “wawa”).
