There’s one more thing, Clara…. OK, I apologise to anybody who might be embarrassed…. though honestly, there’s no reason…
(and, I suppose, to any single guys who just don’t get it.)
Toilet paper.
You’ve always got to have enough toilet paper.
In a pinch, you can use it for napkins and Kleenex…. even paper towels….
but not vice versa…. especially not paper towels… unless you love buying steaks and big screen TV’s for your favorite plumber.
Me, I gotta also have enough coffee….
and to make sure there’s at least a little sugar in the house, for the French toast.
Facing an electrical blackout, chocolate, oranges and apples would probably come home with me too.
My stove and hot water are gas… so I could make the French toast.
Though…ooops… my relatively new (2015-ish) water heater does have electric ignition cos there wasn’t one without.
I can’t even light it with a match. STUPID design.
A lot of stores here only sell half gallons or larger of fresh milk, which I can’t finish, but I’ve discovered shelf stable quarts, and usually buy 8 or 10 at a time.
Unfortunately not local… but it tastes fine, and keeps a year on the shelf, 2 weeks in the fridge after opening…. plus I have an emergency supply.
Liverlips…How to tell: This is Cleo you’re talking about.
Dennis… I grew up on Wonder Bread French toast. It’s like there’s no bread in it. My parents could never understand my preferring whole wheat.
Hullo, Cleo fans and any newcomers!
This is where we’re posting our comments on
