I’ve been having more trouble with GoComics tonight than I’ve had all week…

just because I have things to post, I suppose.

So… even though StelBel won’t be here for a while, I think I should post the cake, so that those of you who arrive in the morning will see it.

This is a …um…. fresh-baked copy (cough) of one that I made a few years ago…

Uh huh….

I haven’t made it since, because it takes so long…

It features a fondant and marzipan sculpture of Stel herself, in her role as the Queen of Tampering….

with all her implements for cutting, pasting and painting.

Don’t worry, though…. it’s all edible…. even the glitter.

The base cake is chocolate, with chocolate ganache filling and rich fudge frosting….

her castle has layers of almond flavored and chocolate cake, with marzipan cream and custard fillings.

There are also some mirror-shaped shortbread cookies with magical glitter frosting. … I made lots of those.

So here we go….

So many others have already posted wonderful words and best wishes that I can add nothing to what has been said.

Susan Sunshine – you must have been cooking all week to deliver up such a magnificent spread of delectables. It’s a wonder you found time to post at all this week, but thank you, thank you, thank you for all that caring and hard work. It will take me until March to shed the extra calories.
