It’s much more dramatic this way.

But then Harold has always found Blanche repelling. That’s what attracted him to her.

Somebody told Blanche there’s a secret “swinging singles” group that meets at Marion Finlay’s house….

She’d love a chance to hang out with Marion, and all her glamorous friends….the kind of women who never give her the time of day.

So she’s quietly practicing swinging by herself….Hoping maybe they’ll be impressed and let her join.

Won’t Harold be proud!

Welcome back, Bev! It was my pleasure….Glad everything went well!

I posted to you from the Tiki just before the turn…nothing significant….Hope you have had/will have a chance to catch up on all the greetings, though.

You might have noticed we were planning a little event for you in the afternoon…that’s why I came back here to stay overnight on Ballard St…but if you’re too tired we can move it to Tuesday.

Just let us know.No plans are really set, anyway.

I know Stel has been tired; I’m so exhausted I fell asleep in the bar…..and I’m sure Storm won’t mind keeping the strippers another day.

But if you WANT to do it then… that’s fine too.

It isn’t even settled whether it’s a wild party or a sedate tea…. (I’m told I’m “quaint.”)

I don’t care as long as the message is

Silly me — do today’s Mom’s know what that thing IS that I put on the cake?

I see that Blanche is on those new meds. She certainly has a lot more get up and go ! She always was a social climber.

Everyday, Harold tells Blanche to use the stairs. But, because of a miscalculation on Harold’s part (a major miscalculation!……wrong room!), taking the stairs has never been an option for Blanche….and Harold just refuses to admit his mistake.

She likes to set new challenges for herself. Explore new paths. Take the road less travelled. Knots in the rope however would help her climb better. Those arms are going to popeye out so bad.

It seemed a pity that Blanche had used up her last “kitchen pass” in order to attend the Sat eve Blues Bash that Red and Munkey had hosted at the Tiki Bar… and she wouldn’t have missed THAT for the world…!!! (esp) since she and Storm had dscussed the finer talents of the paint “strippers” that she told Harold that she and Storm interviewed…. “ya never know when your gonna need some well qualified “paint strippers”….. she told Harold on Saturday afternoon while watching re-runs on the DIY Network…

But now… she felt she was over extending herself in the hopes that he would understand her need to sneak back over to the Tiki Bar with the rest of the BS Bunko Babes just to get a glimps of Bev’s photos of her new grandson Miles…oh, and if there happens to be a fresh Bloody Mary (or three!!) made with Susan Sunshines fresh celery then ALL the better…!!! Hey… as long as Harold thinks she’s sleeping in late and he’s busy watching the TODAY show before he heads out for his Monday morning gangsome at the BS Country Club…. he’ll never know…..

What is the big deal? That is how I always get into the lighthouse. Happy congratulations Bev!

Love the blues. Good stuff. Saw something yesterday lifted my spirits after the rain drifted off. A double full size rainbow. Both bows were total color. Made one feel good about being alive to see that.
