Ol’ Frank is the very image of a Pro Sleeper.

Before I make the comment I was thinking about, I’d better sleep on it.

I didn’t know there was such a thing as a professional sleeper.I’m in the wrong line of work.

Ling…. Fenton is only off on Tuesday and Thursday nights, and the little monkeys work instead.

Thursdays are rather busy, usually, being Thirsty Thursdays, a Ballard St tradition…so the fireman helps out.

There is no way, however, this would be " just a Tiki Bar….not with a our Monkey Sheriff owning it, and serving house smoked yak from Turdmunkestan.

Did I miss everybody by 20 minutes again?

Or is it true that you all … sniffle run away when I get here?

I mean a pro sleeper, of course.

I’m good at it!I can do it anywhere…You’ve all seen me sleep right here at the Tiki.

The last few days were very tiring and I’ve been falling into little professional naps all day today.

It’s only in bed at a proper bedtime that I can’t seem to fall asleep.

Sigh….

I brought along my lavender nightie but I just couldn’t take off my Head Grinder Operator hat….

you KNOW that hat is very precious….

I’m going to have to practice for beds like that side sleeper one, though…. cos I’m a back sleeper.

Do you think there’ll be both right and left side versions?

I do hope he doesn’t have any of these!

There may be more to Pro sleeping than I realised.

What’s on the menu for supper/dinner (depending on where you hail from)? I’m getting hungry!

You, being the costume mistress, can probably answer my question…..unless I have to ask Ling or the Monkey….Do Fanciful Friday costumes have to be dressier than Whimsical Wednesday ones?Is that why they’re “an” costumes?

I’m kinda thinking my purple dress and grinder hat already qualify for the former….

But for the later I’m usually more in disguise.

Is my Samoyed costume suitable for Fanciful Friday?One of the bananas?Or do I need a gown?

Dry…. if you mean at the Tiki, there’s always a full menu.

For a big dinner I always recommend the Yak ‘n’ Dak platter cos it’s the best deal, with all the yak ribs you can eat….though most people can only eat one.

Only $1 extra to substitute a Bloody Caesar or other drink for the banana daiquiri.

We have plenty of other meals, big and small, involving yak and not…but the yak is so good!

It makes vegetarians reconsider…..

I’ll buy you that Caesar, Fellow Baby.

I’m ready for another as well.

Susan, I’m perfectly happy with my Caesar. I don’t go for those fruity drinks, with the exception of the occasional vodka grapefruit.

And not that ruby red stuff. Just the regular unsweetened curl your tongue grapefruit juice.

I don’t know WHY people think that pink/red grapefruit are sweeter (no more than any diff. in white or brown eggs) it is a matter of ripeness that makes them sweet. My tree is white grapefruit with a thick rind, but they get very sweet by end of season. I NEVER add sweetener to grapefruit. Only 4 drops to my lime juice.

I’ll stick to a couple of mini pots of tea (Bengal Spice is my fav). And I may add some droppers of essential oils (hawthorn, ginseng and holy basil).

Dazz, I can taste the difference. I do not like ruby red. I always go for the unsweetened yellow grapefruit juice.

The processed juices may be different (they can add stuff) I only eat the fruit. So unless I buy them I wait for the season (Dec-April) any on the tree after April is over ripe!

Thick skin means I have no storage for more than what I’ll eat in a week.

OK, I tried on the dress and it fits as I expected (except much too long -I’d hack off a good foot so I can kick my silver heels up!

And yes, I had them cut the neckline a bit, now if I knew how to add some of that silver glitter to my hair and the remaining black velvet of my neckline, I’ll be ready for the party. I’m reusing my shoes from another party as 2 pair in a year are all I need to buy (for everyday I prefer to wear the ones I make myself).

Yes, Happy – I think this works for Fanciful Friday, but glitter would make it better.

Everybody looking very Fanciful, I must say. Lots of fun! The micro keeps beeping at me that my tea is ready, so I must excuse myself. I have a date with a photo up beside my tub (very fanciful indeed).
