I read an article that said that every time a dog falls asleep and wakes up again, he thinks it’s a new day… maybe even a new world….and he is he first dog in it.
he looks at you and thinks “Wow… I’m glad you came with me!”
So Sparky is just finding out that their were generations before him….(or so they say.. )
Just wait till he tells the guys down by the oak tree at Ballard and N. Cherry…they’ve been trying to figure out why some of those old stains smell so ancient.
I remember one where the deceased asked that a very expensive Irish whiskey be poured over his grave when he died. His friends were more than happy to do that……after they passed it thru their bodies.
I am convinced that at least some dogs are smarter than we generally give them credit for being. Someone, probably Bev, posted a video link not too long ago of a dog pushing its cat housemate into a tub of water, then running for cover. Proof that dogs are sentient beings, capable of a sense of humor and deliberate mischief, capable of pranking a family member and of knowing what they did and the consequences. My dog, when I was a kid, was very smart. He understood complete sentences, learned to spell, had object permanence, and personality in spades. He was a Scottish terrier/poodle/God-knows-what-else mutt and we loved him dearly.
It’s not all that spicy, but when you eat that much, in one sitting…my goodness.Fenton told me, cos he was amazed… and he said it took you less than half an hour!
You know you’re always welcome to whatever you need….but I still have to ask…didn’t your family feed you, when you were visiting?

Dogs generally don’t know much about history….
