A wise move Carl. You need pretty strong calves to operate those fins properly. Yours look hardly able to hold you up when you walk.
He is getting his feet wet, as they say.
Progress: Yesterday he just dipped his toe into the water.
Next, he will put some table salt in the hose water.
I hope he can get a foot (caught) in the door.
There’s always interpretive dance, Carl. Much safer & you can use your flippers…
Carl’s submerged in the topic but also awash in caution.
At his age, he should approach any career with caution… ☺
He just wants to see why ducks are so cute.
@oldpine52 – Right on!
I’m sure he’ll be much better pretending he has a French accent so he can explore with Cousteau.

Carl is wise to do some preliminary testing. Checking the fit of your “wrinkled when wet” feet in those flippers is very important.
Diver’s flop probably won’t be in his near future.
Carl somehow hadn’t realized he would have to get wet for these jobs. He doesn’t like to get wet.Also, he recently paid attention as his wife watched Titanic for the millionth time. He hadn’t realized the ship sank.
Do they make wetsuits with cardboard inserts? I guess if the Ballard Bait and Tackle shop doesn’t have that, nobody will.
