Know the feeling well.
Scooter isn’t surprised, he’s always known that Leon can’t hang on to anything for very long.
At my age, that’s a daily occurrence.
Walk back to the corner or take another lap around the block.
Maybe it’ll come back to you.
I always carry a notebook.
You have a pen in your pocket. You should have written it on your hand. Or told your pup.
This brings to mind (Ha!) something I’ve always wondered about. When you are trying to remember something and suddenly you go “Oh! Almost had it!” How do you know you almost had it if you didn’t retain any of what you almost just had?

Oh forgot’s sake.
A pocket full of pens.. and nothing to write on. Many fortune worthy ideas are lost to such carelessness.
Good morning Balladeers!
been there, done that, and will likely do that a number of times more today yet!
Try retracing your steps. Sounds like an “idea corner”.
Blame the dog.
I always go back to where I first thought of something. Exercise never hurts.
Maybe it fell out of one of your pockets, Leon.
Here’s another good idea, retrace your steps back to the corner to find where you lost it.
