Norton appears to have been ‘imbued’ by several birds, while Little Miss Millie High Maintenance is waiting for Scooter to come by so that she can snub him…again.
Fluffette is okay with it. She gets her choice of a coat, grass, or Norton to sit and/or lie on. She gets to meet anyone who happens by. Plus, she’s dialed into the scent of whatever is taking place in the neighborhood. Life is good.
Norton’s got the right idea.. but if he replaced his hat with a newspaper and placed his hat where a passersby could drop in some spare change, it could be a profitable afternoon.
At least he gave his dog his coat so he doesn’t have to sit on the cold sidewalk, although I’m sure he would have preferred sitting / lying on the grass instead!

All I can add to the above great answer is that those tiny matchstick ankles get mighty tired holding up the rest of that poundage.

This is the first time I’ve seen a strip with no house in sight. He seems to be in the countryside. I like the car detail.

Does Norton not know what street he is lying beside? He should know that he is not safe from all the constant hijinx and tomfoolery.

Looks like Norton has a peaceful, easy feeling, knowing he won’t be let down, because he’s already sleeping on the ground.
