Ohio has a 1 million dollar lottery for vaccinated people to sign up for. Almost 200 thousand more people have gotten vaccinated since the announcement.
My first thought is that we, the taxpayers, have already coughed up $XXX per shot.
Which makes me think that many who have not vaccinated have already “paid”.
Which brought me to this question:
Do we have any ACCURATE data on the demographics of vaccine recipients? I say accurate because the topic is so hyper-politicized that any “poll” data will be automatically suspect.
If we can see the demographic of the vaccinated population (Age, Gender, Race, Zip Code) we can interpolate the general composition of the “resistant” population. Even, to a certain degree, political leanings, income status, etc.
Between general anti-vax sentiments, the derision of the program from the left during the previous administration, the derision of the efficacy from the right during the current administration, etc, etc, etc, I suspect that the hold outs are NOT a homogeneous political block.
When I worked in market research (something I do not admit to with pride), sometimes a product survey would ask, “How low would the price of this product have to be that you would consider it to be of poor quality?”

I liked the full ride scholarships for the youngers, seems like such a small step to give them to everyone, instead of just five.

Have some set up like a bikini car wash. They’d get more men that way, I bet.

And you, Clyde? If you hadn’t already gotten your shot, how long would it take you to save up $20?
