We are in the medical research business and our goal is to make money off the “medicine” we sell. The nature of our business eliminates all ethical concerns as we are solely interested in amassing the most profits possible. As for conflict of interest the only time we need to worry about that is if someone develops a medicine that actually cures something so we can’t keep profiting from selling our current “medicine” and then our only conflict is over how we bury that research and what we do with those researchers involved. After all someone might get suspicious if we have too many nearly extinct plants growing on our property.
