Playing in off-season a few years back, I hit a ball into a water hazard. But the hazard was still frozen and the ball skidded across. Easiet time of cutting that dogleg I ever had.

Years ago I read of a man who set a world’s golf record for the longest drive. He smacked the ball on an Alaskan glacier with a gale wind at his back. I have no idea how they tracked the ball, but it stopped over twenty miles later.

Longest drive. Putting in a hurricane. Which is it, putting or driving?

I used to watch golf from time to time, many years ago. Tried watching it recently and gave up in disgust. The quiet, mellow, polite announcers were gone, replaced with Cal Worthington wannabees. If i were a golfer with money riding on a putt, I’d tie a knot in their neck to encourage some quiet!
