My husband tried the patch; it turned out that he was allergic to the adhesive! He ended up quitting by just stopping. Hasn’t had a ciggy in almost 10 years. (I’d say “cold turkey”, but he’s allergic to turkey!)
Quit smoking cold turkey 12/31/2000. My wife had a heart attack and when she looked up at me from the gurney she said, “This should be you here!”.Regarding “the patch”, I do wear a Nitro patch these days…
I’m a member of the CP3 study and thought it was amusing that in the first newsletter there were stories from the members of studies 1 & 2. One lady said she remembered sitting around a table, visiting with the other participants while smoking. We’ve come a long way, baby! Go to CP3 and join the fight. It’s easy once you sign up. And no, I’ve never smoked. My mom died at 64 of cancer and I wanted to help others by joining the study. Nobody in my family smoked and lots of us ended up with cancer anyway :/
I started smoking when cigs were $4.25 a carton. I stopped when the price was $78 a carton. Don’t know what happened to the money I was suppose to have saved from not smoking.

Yes, this strip is not set thousands of years in the past but thousands of years in the future.

One of my clients smokes like a chimney. When asked about quitting, he says, “Yeah, I tried the patches, but they won’t stay lit!”

The beer patch doesn’t work either. I always tore the labels, getting them off the bottles.

I quit 20 years ago… Was burning through three packs a day. Cold chocolate worked for me.

I took the easy way to not smoke by never starting. It may be cheating, but it worked for me.
