Real women are people. You’ve met people, right?

Great lashes. Always wondered where Doris Day’s lashes ended up.

There’s “curves” and there’s “obesity”. Learn to tell the difference, kids.

That’s something that’s certainly worthy to put on a sign.

And then there’s “fake women”, also known as mannequins, dress forms, and inflatable. Interestingly enough, they have curves as well.

Female snake-ness sort of demands curves.

“Curvy” today was “Fat” in the past. It’s all PR.

That’ssss one sssssexy sssssisssster….

Actually, I think it’s all the way around. Marilyn Monroe, Rita Hayward…

You have undulations, honey.

And she can unhinge her jaw.

The Arizona Republic published a different stripe, today. It was Olympics related like all the other strips this week.

The Calgary Herald had the Olympic one too…

In my world, curves are MUCH less interesting than intelligence, education, and experience within a framework of caring, insightful support tactics, leadership, organizational expertise, a knack for reässurance, UNBRUTAL honesty, a willingness to pick oneself up, dust oneself off, and try again, and, AT ALL TIMES, a ready laugh at all the nonsense surrounding us.

I hate jokes like this. “Real men” and “real women” tropes are stupid and condescending. They discount the reality that real people are very diverse. I like BC, but this comic missed the mark.

Personally I love my wife no matter what size she is. After 30 years and 3 children. She has moved up and down. But she is always the girl I met in my eyes.
