I am inventing a bicycle for politicians: one forward gear and 10 reverse gears for better backpeddling.

Only effect of the draining is a greater roil of the smelly under layer. The stink increases daily.

Wonder if one way to limit overspending would be to limit congressional office space to one office location for each member, instead of the several that many have. This might lead to a reduction in the number of excess staff. Next require members to live within their actual expense allowances and pay for all extra services such as health care, meals at in-house restaurants, salons, etc.

Additionally, bureau and agency heads could be limited to using only furniture from the many government warehouses, with no redecoration allowance.

In other words, at least make an attempt to live under the same restrictions as the other 99%. Maybe even begin to understand the effects of the bills they pass, especially those which are offered as solutions where no problems exist.

Ho Hum, politicians (all parties) are all the same and do nothing. It’s the Massive Bureaucracy accountable to no one, that scares me.

I won’t be following BC – it has gotten too political. When will people learn, stay neutral when you are selling your products and services!

@mschmidt.mn: a cartoonist is not selling either products or services. Each is presenting is his/her own viewpoint. Sometimes it ironic, sometimes simply humorous. But it is her/his right, just as it is yours to comment, and mine to disagree. Appreciate the freedom that suggests.

No. We all adapt and that’s why ever present change in climate is not much of an issue.
